MID-ALTITUDE FOREST

Example Type:
Biome

Information:
Location: Mid-latitude
Climate: Temperate Forest
Record Date: 05.20
Season: Spring
Temperature: 51 oF
Elevation: 3400 Feet
Humidity: 62%
Conditions: Clear and Mild

Notes:
You will find different types of trees and plants as you move to higher mountain elevations. The most obvious change is that needled trees (conifers) become more abundant. At mid-altitudes, trees have fuller leaves since there is less of a risk to extended cold and snowy periods. They are also able to gather more sunlight to encourage growth.
