HIGH-ALTITUDE MOUNTAINSIDE (Winter)

Example Type:
Biome

Information:
Location: Mid-latitude
Climate: Temperate Forest
Record Date: 02.20
Season: Spring
Temperature: 30 oF
Elevation: 7000 Feet
Humidity: 20%
Conditions: Clear and Mild

Notes:
We visited this biome in early winter when the snow was just starting to fall. Most of the snow was on the north sides of the mountains. Why? Since we were in the northern hemisphere, the Sun was usually shining from the south. The snow on the south side of the mountains melted faster when it got warm.
